Joe
I started out as a bass guitarist about 10 years ago now, when I got my first Fender P Bass and have played bass guitar in a couple of other bands before the Brittle Bricks. A couple years back or so I decided to take up electric guitar just so I could have an understanding of how writing the gutiar parts of a song worked! Things really went from there and nowdays I play electric guitar about as much as bass!
My style? Well, I would say that it's a fusion of rock, punk and some metalcore riffs, infulenced heavily by my bass guitar roots, reflected in the fact that I tend to play a lot of low to mid range notes when doing lead parts, instead of the typical high end screams a lot of guitarists go for in this sort of music... much to everyone else's dismay! I am trying to work on remembering to put in some high-pitched stuff to keep the rest of the gang happy though!
In my spare time I like doing stuff with mates; going to a gig, watching some dvd's or something or playing a few rounds of Halo or Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360! My main passion in life is definitely music! I play guitar, bass, keys, and sing, and have done A level music at St Peter's in Gloucester! Most of my closest mates play or sing, and I really enjoying just meeting up for a laugh and having a jam! I've composed a fair few songs, ranging from stuff which I've used in a band setting to a few which are deeply personal, and perhaps will never be heard...!!
I also enjoy messing around with computers, and have built a few for friends over the last couple of years! Even managed to fit a computer inside an original xbox case, but that's another story...!
Although fairly out-going with mates, I am generally a quiet person when you first get to know me, prefering to keep my thoughts and feelings to myself until I feel comfortable enough to trust someone. If you take the time to get to know me though you'll hopefully find that I'm at least a half-decent guy, and that I'm always up for tips on how to up my game, and equally I'm always happy to help out if you want advice on anything I've got some experince with!
